West Texas Medical Associates provides flu shots to the public during the Walk-In Clinic’s normal business hours, with or without an appointment. The clinic will accept and file insurance, or patients can pay a self-pay fee of $33 for regular flu vaccine and $70 for the high-dose vaccine.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends an annual influenza vaccination for all persons aged 6 months and older who do not have contraindications Timing of the influenza vaccination is an important consideration and the CDC recommends that it is received as soon as available in the community and by December. This helps to ensure that antibodies have time developed before flu activity is usually at it’s highest.
